Report date is the date a data report was created and uploaded. Daily case counts between 1 and 4 have been assigned a value of 2. This dataset was first published on 5/18/2023. The data set increases in size daily and as a result, the dataset may take longer to update; however, it is expected to be available by 12:00 noon. When you download the data set, the dates will be sorted in ascending order, meaning that the earliest date will be at the top. This dataset includes the VA health planning region, sewershed (i.e., wastewater treatment facilityservice area), start of collection week, percentile, percentile groups (Highest: 80-100th, Higher: 60-79.9th, Middle: 40-59.9th, Lower: 20-39.9th, Lowest: 0-19.9th), and report date. This dataset was first published on 05/18/2023. The data set increases in size weekly and as a result, the dataset may take longer to update; however, it is expected to be available by 12:00 noon. When you download the data set, the sewersheds will be sorted in ascending alphabetical order by health region. The sample collection dates will be sorted in ascending order, meaning that the earliest date will be at the top. The most recent date will be at the bottom of each sewershed’s data.

This dataset includes the number of visits for heat-related illness (HRI) at emergency departments and urgent cares in Virginia by year (includes visits from May-September only) and by city/county of the patient. City/county localities are assigned using the patient's residential zip code for Virginia residents. HRI visit counts are combined for some cities and counties due to zip codes spanning multiple localities. Patients with non-Virginia or unknown zip codes are grouped as 'Out of State.' Data set includes HRI visits between May through September only for years 2015 through the current year (year-to-date). When data set is downloaded, the years will be sorted in ascending order, meaning that the earliest year will be at the top.
