"To date, the Long-Term Care COVID Tracker is the most comprehensive dataset about COVID-19 in US long-term care facilities. It compiles crucial data about the effects of the pandemic on a population with extraordinary vulnerabilities to the virus due to age, underlying health conditions, or proximity to large outbreaks.

The dataset compiles all currently available information of COVID-19 cases and related deaths in long-term care facilities—nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and other care homes—and tracks both residents and staff."

DBHDS is providing information on positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths of individuals receiving services in licensed DBHDS programs on the Licensed Provider COVID-19 Data Dashboard (9/17/20). These are derived from cases reported by providers in CHRIS and do not reflect official Virginia Department of Health data.

DBHDS is providing updates on positive staff and patient cases at DBHDS facilities on Wednesdays. The frequency of updates will be adjusted as needed. Please note there are approximately 5,500 staff and 1,850 patients among the 12 DBHDS facilities. Click below for the latest update:
COVID-19 Tracker (September 18, 2020)

Guided by common values, Covid Act Now is a multidisciplinary team of technologists, epidemiologists, health experts, and public policy leaders working to provide disease intelligence and data analysis on COVID in the U.S.

APIs, Visualizations and csv files of data are available for public use.

This data is culled from the site COVID County Data and shows the daily recordation of the total number of cases and deaths from COVID-19 for each locality in Virginia. Dates covered: 1/21/2020 through 9/14/2020 (last update).

SVI indicates the relative vulnerability of every U.S. Census tract. Census tracts are subdivisions of counties for which the Census collects statistical data. SVI ranks the tracts on 15 social factors, including unemployment, minority status, and disability, and further groups them into four related themes. Thus, each tract receives a ranking for each Census variable and for each of the four themes, as well as an overall ranking.
