This dataset contains Supplemental Data at the county level from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Environment Atlas website. ERS (Economic Research Service, USDA) researchers and others who analyze conditions in "rural" America most often study conditions in nonmetropolitan (nonmetro) areas, defined on the basis of counties. Counties are the standard building block for collecting economic data and for conducting research to track and explain regional population and economic trends.

For the eleventh consecutive year, Feeding America conducted our annual Map the Meal Gap study to improve our understanding of food insecurity and food costs at the local level. The most recent release is based on data from 2019. In response to COVID-19, we also released a companion study and interactive map that illustrate the projected impact of the pandemic on local food insecurity in 2020 and 2021. To better assess the current and future state of local food insecurity, it is critical to understand historical variations prior to the pandemic. Only then can we develop effective strategies to reach people at risk of hunger.

This dataset contains Food Taxes metrics displayed in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Environment Atlas website, including taxes enforced in Retail Stores and Vending Machines on General Food Sales, Chips, Pretzels, and Sodas.

The data and dashboards provided in the link display undergraduate fall headcount enrollment by Virginia locality and institution and also the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) which is the nation’s most important anti-hunger program. It helps 38 million people .Average benefit being $127 per month (groceries, not prepared food).Students must meet standard income criteria PLUS other qualifications if enrolled at least halftime:
1)Work at least 20 hours per week
2)Receive TANF benefits
3)Be a parent or caregiver
4)Enrolled in certain job training programs

Link2Feed is a networked client intake software that allows food banks to safely and privately collect and report on the needs in their communities. This dataset contains 2019 - 2021 data for all the households served associated to Link2Feed Agencies.

This dataset contains Supplemental Data at the state level from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Environment Atlas website, including program participation data across states for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).
